Universiti Selangor (UNISEL) and Cytonex Sdn. Bhd. are pleased to announce a strategic research collaboration on the project titled “Evaluation of Physical, Chemical, and Antimicrobial Characteristics of Silver Nanoparticles Synthesized Using Polygonum Minus Extract for Application as Antimicrobial or Preservative Agent in Cosmetic Products.”
This Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) sets the stage for a pioneering research initiative that aims to evaluate the properties and applications of silver nanoparticles synthesized with Polygonum Minus extract. The project will focus on the physical, chemical, and antimicrobial characteristics of these nanoparticles for potential use in cosmetic products.
The collaboration aims to bring together the strengths and resources of both parties, combining technical expertise and research capabilities. The research project will delve into the physical, chemical, and antimicrobial properties of silver nanoparticles synthesized using Polygonum Minus extract, with a specific focus on their application in cosmetic products.
The project will span a two-year period and will involve the exchange of knowledge, research findings, and resources between UNISEL through Institute of Bio-IT Selangor and Cytonex. Both parties are committed to conducting this research in line with appropriate scientific and professional standards. This partnership is expected to pave the way for exciting advancements in the field of nanotechnology and cosmetic product development. It is a testament to the power of collaboration between industry and academia in driving innovation and research excellence.
