Providing Better Vision To The World.
England Optical Group was the brainchild of Dato’ Dr. Chin see Keat, who opened its first outlet in 1979 at Sungei Wang Plaza. The company grew from strength to strength over the years; the result of its immense success is that it took Klang Valley by storm, expanded all over Malaysia and is now establishing a foothold in Asia.
Today, England Optical Group is Malaysia’s leading optical chain, with a total of 131 outlets in Asia – 120 of them in Malaysia, 10 in China and one outlet in Cambodia.
Achievements and awards
England Optical Group has been a pioneer in many areas during the years of its operation. For example, it was the first in the optical industry to computerise eye testing. It was also the first industry player to integrate its software by linking all of its outlets with its head office and customer service operations. It was also the first to publish an eyewear optical consumer magazine and launch a website.
England Optical Group has a wide product range and it carries the ISO 9002 certification from SIRIM. Following this, it received the Enterprise 50 Award for two consecutive years in 1999 and 2000. England Optical Group also hit a major milestone when it was listed in the Malaysia Book of Records as the Largest Optical Chain Store. The award for the Most Promising Franchisor of the Year by Malaysia Franchise Association (MFA) came shortly after.
Franchise programme
It came as no surprise when England Optical Group decided to franchise its business by launching the England Optical Group Franchise Programme in 1998. Currently, it has about 40 franchise stores in Malaysia and new outlets are expected to open soon in Vietnam, Singapore and Indonesia. In China, England Optical Group has expanded to 13 outlets in Dalian, Shanghai, Fuzhou and ShenZhen through strategic alliances with well-known hypermarkets such as Carrefour, Parkson and Tesco.
With England Optical Group’s wealth of experience and comprehensive support to jump start a business, one can enjoy a fulfilling franchise business with minimum fuss. After all, you don’t need to be an optometrist to own an optical business.

To Whom It May Concern:
I would like to make a compliant letter regarding an employee who had served me.
The details I visited the shop as following:
Date: 08/09/2009
Branch: Lot C21, Permas Jaya Jusco Shopping Centre, JB.
Products Ordered: Contact lenses – BAUSCH AND LOMB –
I went to pick up the products today (10/09/2009), the brand of the contact lenses was not the one that I have ordered. When I told the salegirl that it was not the brand, she had got a very bad attitude and kept denying. I was told by her that I was the one who had changed the brand, but in fact, I have no idea what she was talking about!
It was not a great attitude a salegirl should have! Not to mention, two of those unknown-brand contact lenses are expired. I did not get the salegirl’s name but I did know she was long hair and with the glasses on.
I hope that the manager or supervisor may concern this salegirl as a very bad image to the company!
