Mr. Leow Tit Ban founded Ban Heang in the year 1997 in order to spread his love for Penang’s famous Tambun biscuits. He created many different flavors that his customers could enjoy, including orange, pandan, coffee, and spicy shrimp flavor. Aiming to make Ban Heang a company that can represent Penang’s local products on the international stage, Leow relocated Ban Heang in 2010, moving to Macalister Road in the center of Penang. Aside from that, he also made several reformations on Ban Heang’s products, improving their packaging and quality to make them more appealing. At the same time, he provided regular on the job training to Customer Service in order to improve their professional selling and customer service skills.
Today Ban Heang is formed by a group of young, energetic and ambitious management team and key personnel. Leow and his team are confident that Ban Heang will bring Penang local product into a new interpretation and make a mark on the international level. Based on their principle of “Made Now, Bake Now, and Sell Now”, Ban Heang produces more than 200 types of products, ranging from their signature Tambun Biscuits and Heong Pheah to more modern snacks such as Durian Crisps and Coconut Biscuits. The intimate service, the rigorous quality, the innovation thoughts, well management are all key parts of Ban Heang’s success.
