Selina Gan, the founder and Managing Director of Country Farm Organics (CFO), has always had a passion for healthy living. After graduating with a Masters degree in Real Estate Development and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, both from the University of Southern California, USA, Selina started an organic business in 1998.
At that time, she focused only on the wholesale business but later on, she realised even after she lowered her wholesale prices, most of her dealers were not passing on the discounts to their customers. Hence, she decided to move into the retail business herself and in 2004, she launched her first retail outlet.
Today, there are 3 Country Farm Organics owned retail outlets altogether, with over 70 experienced and dedicated employees promoting healthy lifestyle through organic food and saving our fragile environment. On top of the existing outlets, Country Farm Organics products can also be found in hypermarkets and supermarket chains such as Jusco, Carrefour, Cold Storage, Isetan, selected Giant outlets and many more.
To satisfy its customers’ various needs, Country Farm Organics run its business based on 3 different concepts. One of them is by establishing retail outlets, which offer its customers a trendy place to purchase organic products and enjoy great food in a social environment. These outlets carry a larger scope of fresh and processed organic food products, supplements, body care, household and even organic soft toys sourced from all over the world. To help customers understand the organic products that they are purchasing, qualified nutritionists or well-trained shop assistants are at hand in the retail outlets to offer free and friendly advice.
Attached to some of these retail outlets is a Country Farm Organics restaurant cum café that serves wholesome organic food. Its culinary team uses the slow-cook method which helps to preserve all vitamins and enzyme in their completely natural ingredients. Country Farm Organics constantly introduces new recipes that would first have to meet the high quality standards set by the in-house qualified nutritionists before being recommended to the customers. The juice bar, the third business concept, is custom made to provide an ‘open-concept’ so that customers can watch their fruit juices being freshly made with the special cold-press juicing machines. This machine ensures that none of the nutrients in the fruits is destroyed or lost in the juicing process. What you see is exactly what you get: energizing, refreshing and nutritious organic juices.
